I Downloaded The "Run WinMX Patch",
I Also Downloaded WinMX 3.54 Beta,
I Followed The Directions,
And,
It Didn't Work.

Please Help Me

Okay I want you to make sure you followed the directions given here:

Pay no attention to the Bendmx or RCMS instructions..

Then I want you to do this, go to your

Start menu > Run type 'cmd'
Then in the dos box type this 'ipconfig /flushdns' with out the ' ' on ..

Now restart WinMX.. and be patient.. if it hasnt connected in 15 minutes post back to me

OK try this for me ..

Download that and unzip it into your:

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc folder ..

once this is in place do the DNS flush again.. and restart winmx.. this way takes longer but should work..

Ok Flame have you ever used the chat on WinMX before, you dont have to be connected to enter there and we run a great room for help..

Just click on the chat button.. say yes i am not easily offended then copy and paste that entire name and number into your filter bar at the top above where the list is usually... then click the join button at the far right side..

If your running peer guardian you may have to disable this to enter, if you havent got our allow list installed.

If your not sure what Peerguardian is.. dont worry .. just stop by..

And yes contrary to what some people think I do sleep...and its easier then posting for 3 pages to get you up and running faster.. if you rather do it here thats fine also.. i be back in serveral hours...
