Well what exactly is the point in having all these media players on your system anyway? For years I have thought Realplayer as spyware simply because it puts itself on your startup. It has always had some sort of advertising in it that I can recall. Windows Media Player is now applying it's DRM software to music files as I discovered myself. I now have all of its services disabled and won't even use it as it has edited my music folders in some way that it hides them from being able to be shared in WinMX. I have 3 other media players installed on my pc. 2 by my choice and one that came with Nero which I don't use either. The 2 I do use are Winamp and Cyberlink Powerdvd. I don't use Winamps play anywhere features. My point being I find it shamefull when I look on a user's pc and I see VLC, Winamp, Windows Media Player, MusicMatch (now Yahoo Media Player [also now or soon to be owned by Microsoft]), Realplayer, PowerDVD, Nero Media, WinDVD, and the list goes on and on. And people try to keep all this crap updated. And that's if the player itself doesn't try to update itself. It's a waste of resources, troublesome in general, and any user tryinig to use all of this software on 1 pc is only asking for troubles. Keep it as minimal as possible and know that you don't need all of this stuff. It's absolute junkiness!
