I'm hoping someone has either the WinMX knowledge or audio expertise - or both - to help me out. I run WinMX on a PC Laptop. My WinMX library (shared mp3s) is a folder called 'Upload.' I use iTunes on my Mac Laptop. I rip my CDs on this Mac and play my music from the Mac. My iTunes library of mp3 files resides on a network drive which is seen and used by both Mac and PC. This all works very well. So, when I rip a CD on the Mac, those files are automatically stored in my iTunes library on the shared network drive. I have my iTunes set to rip at 320 kbps and my albums show up in iTunes as 320 kbps. Now, I go to the PC to wrap that CD and put the ALBW in my 'Upload' folder so it can be shared on WinMX. In a few cases, my WinMX library reflects that ALBW at some odd sampling rate, e.g. 157 or 182 kbps. By far most of my 320 kbps CDs are correctly reflected as 320 kbps ALBWs. Out of over 100 CDs, maybe 10 show up with these odd sampling rates. BTW, the mp3s that comprise the album and go into the ALBW contain album artwork. Don't know if that's a factor but, if it is, why would it only affect a few? I've tried re-wrapping the mp3s but get the same result. Can anyone tell me what might cause this? Thanks.
