Comcast Sued For Fraudulant Service Claims

This seems to be the only language Comcast understands folks.

An upset Comcast subscriber in Washington, DC, has filed a lawsuit against the company over its traffic management practices.
Filed yesterday in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, the lawsuit accuses Comcast of false advertising over its claim that its Internet service allows "unfettered access to all the content, services, and applications that the Internet has to offer."

Filed by Sanford Sidner, the lawsuit echoes many of the allegations raised in a lawsuit filed last November after Comcast's practice of interfering with P2P traffic via forged reset packets came to light. Sidner says that his service will often "slow to a crawl" when using file-sharing applications and that he feels "betrayed" by Comcast's actions. "I'll bet most paying customers out there have no idea that Comcast is secretly blocking and slowing down their high-speed Internet service," Sidner said in a statement.

Some consumer advocacy groups are cheering from the sidelines. "This lawsuit demonstrates that consumers are rightfully outraged over Comcast’s secretive bait?and-switch tactics," said Open Internet Coalition executive director Markham Erickson.

Lets hope this ends in victory for this embittered consumer, many of the big ISP companies are more than happy to take your payment whilst providing little or no service in return it seems, maybe the new "david and goliath" case we need to see a new precedent set.

The way the law has been going lately concerning so many suits, he will probably win and then the win get overturned on appeal because of a single "t" that wasn't crossed.
Downloading is an addiction I do not want to give up.

I read that there is a new BT protocol that will render comcasts methods useless, would be nice to hope they get stung for a fat payout to their customers and then find it was all for nothing as the new protocol rolls out and ruins their little game anyway, lol
