new patches

why is it as soon as a new patch is released the one i have that is working fine suddenly starts to error so i need to update it?  surely if one patch works for me then that would be it

Well yes that my feeling too, if its working fine I leave it alone.  

How old is your patch Dazco ?

Some of the early patches have been found wanting in terms of lifespan but the basic ideas are sound, its just an annoyance for us all but I suppose a very small price to pay to hold the community together.

it's the other way around, the patches suddenly start to error, so the errors get fixed... it's just quick enough that you don't notice
