yes I know this is an old topic but as far as I remember this onyl affected HP systems because it replaced their drivers with intel drivers which werent compatible.
I got a few hours after the final sp3 (5512) leaked and installed ito n my desktop (amd sempron 1.6ghz) and everything was fine...
actually it was better
