Sherwood TCP error

Hi, Congrats on reboot of winmx peer    I have loaded the patch to reconnect and as i did it was said sherwood for primary users was required. so i ran all three sherwood files and have it installed trouble is
It insists that port 6699 is bound and if winmx is running shut it down
well its not and i rebooted and ran it it still says the same
can you help plz many thanks im watching this space.....................

PS: I can log on to win mx but ive yet to try up/dl hense fix this problem first

    My op:
             Athlonxp3200
running: Windows xp pro s/v pack2
             winxp firewall
             ntl Netguard
             Winmx3.53
             mxmoni
Router : Belkin 4 port wirless/ i am wired and its firewall off till i get this fixed..

Do this for me
Make sure your WinMx is not running and reboot the sherwood then WinMX.. if it still does this are you using our patch from WinMXGroup ?  

If yes you shouldnt need  to worry,, just run without sherwood.

If you dont then get PeerGuardian from here and add the current block list for updates..

Actually I've had the exact same problem with sherwood when I tried it.
Since I run other p2p as well I keep using pg2 ( yes, I added your blocklist ) and didn't bother trying to fix it.
It seems sherwood runs fine though if you just hit ok.

Well thanks for prompt reply Yes i did patch up that is PIEpatch 2.6
 I still had the error so I did your plan B....Installed peer guardian2
and I assume this is as good and my pc is protected against the aliens
(GOV/RIEE+affiliates.COM) lol..
I cannot go and run winmx at present I have to go out but ill let you know
how it goes asap but am grateful for input ......GOOD LUCK TO US ALL!

Please make sure to get the block list and allow list from this page (add to your lists in peerguardian)

Yes thanx have block/allow lists installed about to run winmx for first time see how it goes.......
