yw tig.

A note to add regarding this modem. I've had it now for almost 4 weeks and it seems setting static IP's for multiple pc hookup creates problems rather than solving them.  Unfortunately I've had to keep checking my internal IP after booting to ensure port forwarding is running properly.  Everything regarding IP's is dynamic so remember to check and alter accordingly.  The upside is that this model has 4 ethernet ports to allow 4 pc's to be plugged into modem without the need for a network hub or router.  It seems plugging a network hub in overrides the modem and connection is lost. I don't know if there is a way around this, my networking knowledge is limited.

Apart from that it's a good modem, and winmx will run effectively without ports forwarded. (I'm running it like that with much success on default ports).

A fantastic solution for rural Australians who can't receive landline based broadband.

Hey tig.

All going well with it, no problems to date.  uploads are firmly at 256k when the cap is lifted, and downloads can exceed the quoted 512k they say it is.... even on low signal strength (which I have)

I'll post back if/when there's anything new.
