Just go to here :

https://www.winmxgroup.com/Install-1.9.exe

This will install the correct MX for your operating system along with a patch for WiMX..

Ty Nobby,
Yes portforward.com is my fav router one stop shop...

Couple things to remember are

Its not necessary to set a static IP
And the instructions for WinMX only show how to set a TCP port..
WinMX MUST have a UDP forwarded also.. just follow the same intructions for it

WinMX........6257 to 6257.........UDP <internal IP> ....... enable..

easy..

There are a few very common password combonations set by default.

User: admin

Try those, also some ISPs Verizon included sets your user name and password to the account details that you use to logon to the Net.

Try those also..

I have met one ISP  that actually locks their customers out of the adsl router and will not allow them access to forward ports..

Hope your not in Wisconson....

No your not stuck with Limewire at all.

If you cant forward ports then go to setting in WinMX look for Incoming TCP and change that to 'Unable to recieve'
Now look for IN/OUT UDP and do the same there

Now restart your WinMX in secondary.. this will allow you to share your files with almost everyone you wish..
