Author Topic: BT HOME HUB DNS ISSUES!!!! (Read 6142 times)

Hi Everyone,
I have a CCTV security System connected to bt home hub (white w/phone) ,I have set up a dns address
@ dyndns.com,the problem is the dynamic address is not being updated on router so i cant log in to view
cctv,the pc is off most of the time,but apparently this router has an in built updater,does this need to be activated/enabled??
any help would be appreciated...I have set up port forwarding etc. and i have accessed when originally set up( before ip address changed!!)

Just to let you know, we really are not the ones to ask about this, although there are prolly a few out there using the BT hub this way, not many are going to be able to help you, certainly not myself and I'm one of the router help folks lol

To be honest, i never like them. I used to use NO-ip when i was hosting a opennap server on a dynamic ip like yourself. They have a programme that you can install. That does all that for you. And its free too.
