hi i have installed a new router and now i cant download any files from people and no one can upload from me does anyone have any answers please

Welcome to my world.  I am working with "Avatar" the Supervisor in another place trying to solve that very issue with mine too.  She hasn't gotten back to me yet but you might want to check the other post to see what she tells me and try those things too.

Bigvon,

Can you tell me what router you have and also what ports you used when you set up your allowed ports in it?

Do you have Norton 2005 antivirus, and what firewalls do you use?

i have bt voyager 205 and yes i do have nortons,  i used ports 6699 and 6257

Bigvon,

Ok make sure that your WinMX is allowed in your Norton 2005.

Go to Options > Internet Worm Protection > Control Programs  there you should see an option to allow WinMX.

Restart the computer at this time.

If  the problem persists let me know..
