Earlier on today a few users messaged me to ask about connection problems, this coincided with an emergency shutdown of one of the peer caches which would have made a small delay in the connecting time, all other caches where still online and handling traffic so I wish to make our apologies to anyone who was concerned or worried by the connection delay and to reassure you all that we have rectified the problem and to be patient if the same thing occurs in the future, great efforts have been undertaken to ensure the system has redundant capacity and further operators on stand-by in case of a long term failure or attack.
Any delay is unhelpful and frustrating folks but rest assured its not going to stop you getting connected to the network
