Winmx - Wine - Ubuntu :: Help

Hey, need a little help getting Winmx to work here

have installed WINE (even tried the older versions) i run the Winmx installer and it installs just fine, yet wwhen trying to start the actual program it loads the loading window and closes..

which wine versions have you tried?

try 0.9.16

versions after that are known to be broken, and those before it some work and some don't

Here's how it works

1. Install wine 0.9.16 (or an earlier version)
2. Download mozilla activex and install (seems version 1.7.2 won't work properly, this links to 1.6 which seems ok)
2. Install winmx from www.winmxgroup.com.

If you have troubles getting hold of an ubuntu package that old I got the source code for Wine 0.9.16  - please contact me if you need it.

lol, i figured that out .. 

i installed 0.0.37 and 0.9.35  which were the only ones listed for my linux release  (feisty)

so i read a few more forums on here
scroled down the page and found 0.9.16 for dapper..  thought what the hell n gave it a go..   then as in another forum on here (yeahp pays to read before you post, lol) said something about mozzerilla active x    then something about library's   googled the errors and found the solution!
