Hello, recently I have decided to upgrade my computer for gaming. I upgraded once before around 4 1/2 years ago but now I need to do it again, however I am not sure how much it will cost or if the motherboard in my computer now can accommodate a new cpu and video card.
My computer tower is an HP Pavilion a300n, initially it came out of the box with an Intel celeron @ 2.6ghz, not sure of the original motherboard that it had, but the one that it has now is an ASUS X series Socket 478,SiS 661GX FSB800, 2 DDRAM AGB 8X VGA Integrated, 2xSATA with RAIDo1 JBOD,2xATA1336ch Audio, 8xUSB2.0, 10/100 LAN S/PDIF out Support Intel Prescott Hyperthreading Crash free BIOS2
The Video card is an NVIDEA Gforce 6200 series.
the CPU in it now is a P4 @ 2.53GHZ
I have no Idea of what hardware goes well with what I am completely opened to suggestions, lets say the budget is $500-$600 American go crazy!
