Rutland village installs own high speed broadband

Residents in a village in Rutland have clubbed together to raise £37,000 to install their own high speed broadband after getting fed up of waiting for large companies to provide the service. After telecom firms had said it was not economical to provide fast services to the village, Lyddington now boasts the fastest rural broadband in the UK with speeds of up to 40Mbps. Prevously the speed was .5Mbps maximum.

That's an interesting point you bring up there Toad, as most of the village people are part owners in that system who would the RIAA take to court. The entire population of the village?
