"The independent audit of the Google system shows that the system used for the wi-fi collection intentionally separated out unencrypted content (payload data) of communications and systematically wrote this data to hard drives. This is equivalent to placing a hard tap and a digital recorder onto a phone wire without consent or authorisation," said PI in a statement.
Uhm, except telephones don't let people know they're there, and certainly don't make it so obvious that their owners are talking on them--besides the fact that you'd see the owner holding it to their ear, or an ear piece of some sort, and the fact that it's voice, not a network name.
If you don't want someone collecting your broadcasting ID for your Wi-FI Network simply shut it off. Don't blame your stupidity and/or ability to
not inform people about security on someone else. The information is just as public as anything else presented on these streets.
These people have the nerve to complain, let's start at License Plates for cars - Is anyone aware of how much information they carry about the owner of the car? More than these pitiful collections of Wi-Fi names.
