hello again... i just upgraded to the beta 4 version from 3.53 version... since i upgraded, i cannot get more than 3 rooms in the chatroom list while on primary, and on secondary, i seem to be refreshing my connection every few minutes, leaving me unable to browse people, get a whois, or send/receive messages...not to mention, when it reconnects, all sources i have for downloads turn red and time out, and all my upload queue's start to drop off.... i prefer the old 3.53 version, but i have been told i absolutely have to have this new patched version to stay connected and get better search results; although, it seems to be doing the opposite. I recently installed a router in my cable line, but i have the ports forwarded and setup to allow mx uploads and downloads.

There have been a number of users that have reported having trouble with 3.54, if you are sure router settings are correct? my advice would be go back to 3.53, although there are a few improvements on 3.54, and it is classed as generally stable it is still a beta (and aint likely to change!), this has and will no doubt continue to cause a few troubles for some users, i personally use 3.53

Go back to 3.53 and see if that solves your troubles, post back and let us know.

Hi, and thanks for the quick response, by the way... I switched back to 3.53, but does the new patch, which is said to improve search results and such, get downloaded with the 3.53 version? I need all the help I can get on mx....hee hee hee

you can get KM's .dll patch at www.winmxgroup.com i believe it comes with a choice of Winmx version!

Okay...that's where I got the 3.53 version to redownload, so I'm going to assume it had the patch already....thanks very much, your assistance is much appreciated.
