I would actually like to see a running copy of the Client that you have made. I know you said that you don't think it is even ready for an alpha release, but that does not stop me wanting to take a sneak peak.

I know you guys would like to see something as well.

All I can say is at this stage things are moving but progress is making. As soon as anything is ready I am sure you all will  be the first to know.

I thought the idea was to make a client that functions like WinMx and allows users to connect to the Network but at the same time exceeds the file limitations. I am sure someone else mentioned an idea about it being called WinMx something and the response was for it  not to be named WinMx, due to Copyright laws.

you may be right, Watcher, about not calling it WinMX, but that hasnt stopped most other fakers, so its probably a bit of a moot point...

I have seen many so called new versions of WinMx on the Internet. From what I recall there where and still is a lot of programs being called WinMx and even claim to be an upgraded version on the old Client. The programmers know that WinMx was popular and still is. They also know that some users are underknowledged and don't know WinMx is a FREE program.

They use pay for this new version, unlimited support and various other tatics so that people who are underknowledged will part with there well earned money.

Technically it's fraud as i am sure Frontcode does not make these new versions and I am more than sure that the clients do not use the same WPN as we all know it. The problem we are faced with is that of no one taking these people to court for fraud. Lets all think about it, in court for copyright breaking of a program that allows users to break copyright.
