But media organizations won’t let this pass just like that. As Cnet reports, the FBI took over the matter of investigating who was behind the crusade that terrified a bunch of sites belonging to media organizations or law firms that fought to take down file-sharing sites and sue file-sharers.
In the post, Cnet points to "a source with knowledge of the probe" and says that the FBI investigation may have started several weeks ago, but it was the attack against the US Copyright Office that hurried things up.
It seems taking on a US government department may have been a step to far.
