Upload speed

Is it possible to get the upload speed in WinMX more in line with my upload bandwidth. Currently I'm downloading 3 files and all come in at 24 to 26 kb/sec. But my 3 upload (to these users) only go at 12 to 19 kb/sec. Total upload speed only 36 to 57 kb/sec. Both download and upload are not constant but the download is not so much fluctuating as my uploads.

But... my internet connection is much better. Could do 90 kb/sec upload and when I upload to for instance Hotfile or Rapidshare it goes at 90 kb/sec. I don't have any other activity on the internet (well except Firefox on another computer to type this message) .

Why is my upload in WinMX so low. Have looked at all the settings and can't find anything to improve it. Can't be a virus scanner or firewall that is blocking something as none are installed on my WinMX machine.

i m amazed you did not find Bandwidth throttle in the settings

Nobody ever answered, it's very simple...

WinMX by design, uses only 10% of available bandwidth, it was intended by it's maker to run as a background app, while you are doing other stuff

What your ISP provides as 'available' can be reduced in useability by various overheads, then MX uses 10% of the remainder...
