These are some instruction that are on the tutorial site.

"PeerGuardian is like a firewall for P2P networks,  It blocks the Riaa.  Right now the RIAA is attacking this networks primary connections.   YOU MUST USE THIS if you have connected primary."

OK so I have cable/Roadrunner with Norton anti-virus, internet security and their firewall running in the background. What is the primary connection and Riaa? Do I need to download this PeerGuardian? Hey, at least I'm trying to do this right... :?:  :?:

If you are using the 1.9 patch then your already blocking them Fxrguy.

The blocking on the patch is winmx specific though so if you are using any other p2p systems, its best if you have Peer Guardian2 running alongside.

The firewalls and antivirus protection do there job against normal intruders but the RIAA sponsored enemy use the winmx system itself to flood the network with fake lists and using Peer Guardian prevents them from using your machine to do it with.
This is why its vital for host file users to have this in place too.

Thanks for the reply. I am not using any other p2p and have the 1.9 patch.
