I tried that. The only options on the drop down muenu are:
cancel
clear
delete file
find sources now
seacrh for alternatives
search for similar

On the old version the completed download appeared in the window below for that function. It doesn't do that on this one.

I'm not sure what was in version 353 (I think it was exactly the same inthat area) but why don't you use 354b4 instead?

Unless your downloading into the same file folder your sharing and sharing automatically what you get (incompletes and all) you will need to click on "open incoming files folder" in the transfers window and then simply do a right click on the required file and select "play" when the windows explorer window comes up.

I have downloaded the beta version, still no launch function.   I also tried the "open incoming files" , and the access to my music files says "access denied".

I fixed the "access denied" problem, but it's a pain in the ass when you have to search for the song you jusst downloaded in order to play it. Unfortunately, the beta 4 version does not have a launch function.

This sounds more like a windows "Permissions" issue have you searched the site here for win7 and vista fixes as that sounds like what your describing, basically ensure you don't use the default folder for" incoming files" that winmx assigns as this wont work properly on the new operating systems, create a file called "Downloads" or something in the root (c:) drive and set winmx in settings to point to this new folder and that should fix the issue.

Launch is the same as Play...

Download and install 3.54b4 from  https://patch.winmxconex.com

Then you will have 'Play' in the right-click context menu.

In WinMX Settings there is a file-launching section where you can set out which application will open a given filetype, for if you find it REALLY necessary to want to unzip from within winmx, or even to run an installer, or some other executable...

I would not really recommend doing either...

I have 353 also. How do I incorporate the patch into it?
