I've been using WinMx now and then for maybe 5 years; not an expert but I rarely have any problems. But today my mp3 searches produce all sorts of hits along with the artists I was looking for. For example, John Mellencamp, mp3, any bitrate, all available networks, any connection.... I get all sorts of unrelated songs, artists and mp3 titles that contain all sorts of goofy symbols and letters -- the kind of names/titles you get when searching for bootlegged movies, games and apps, not music, which I normally stick to. Lots and lots of them, along with a handful of what I was looking for.

Usually, the first few seconds of the search results in what I'm looking for for, then the screen fills with the junk.

This has never happened before. What gives?

Thanks tig. Unable to make any kind of a connect in Open nap.

Regarding the instructions : "Keep your searches to the bare minimum so attackers cant hide so easily amongst the real users even if they do use a spoofed IP's and of course use your common sense and try different times of the day for searching as the attackers are not always attacking and "browse" users before clicking the "download" button."

Keeping searches to a bare minimum...... you mean in term of length/time?

How do you browse a user?

Never mind. I've downloaded/imported a wsx file. Performed a search. Found what I wanted in seconds and strated a DL.

If I can do that, then...................

well i'm getting rid of winmx. torrents are faster and better anyways. better than this old ass network. But i wish you guys luck.

OK. Did a search for "comedy". Bam. Lot of results. Quick.

But my next search for comedy.... not so good. A lot of gay porn, Kelly Clarkson, Celeine Dion, unreadable stuff. Got much more comedy than I did junk, but the search wasn't as clean and precise as the first.

I've thought of that. But I've got this figured out. I can't manage anything new.

What apps are you go to use to search and download the files? Do you have to convert torrents to audio/video files?

Tried a archive search in OpenNap for Tillman. Got overwhelmed with crap. But a vid file search was quick and precise.

Some can edit but other less honest folks have abused the editing function and made false claims so to protect all against unfounded allegations we only allow site staff to do so now and obviously a record of that action is kept by the forum software.

I think we can safely say "TomTom" is not a winmx user of any worth as they are posting to the forum as a guest and from a cell phone in the USA, I have the impression this is a chap who lives in Washington and likes to hide behind other names and trash talk winmx, water off a ducks back "Tom"

Indeed, I know many folks who would willingly walk through fire if they thought it would fix the present issue, thankfully thats not necessary and work is still continuing and thus we can all sit tight and have hope

If I wished to give my opinion I would do so under this account as I have for the last few months. Unfortunately all differing opinions are oppressed and the postee is belittled and talked down upon so I abstain from doing so.

Nothing to do with you refusing to deliver the other evidence you promised 2 months ago of KM asking you to join his attacks then Josh ?

I dont forget your promises even if you do, if you support or aid the attackers be sure in most folks mind you too are listed amongst their ranks.

Josh I have the entire convo taken from the winmx PM window in screenshot and you clearly state you have other material, I now call upon you to deliver that material as you said you would, its not so much I dont know KM is behind many of the network attacks with NB but it makes a lie of his claim to have been doing this over the blocklist and thus is very important new information to a lot of folks.

Don't try to drag me into any recent incidents ghostship. That one coversation was months ago and the information given to you was of relevance to when km was the one listing fake rooms and sharing those 'important' files. It has no relevance to the urreny situation unless you have concrete evidence to support your claims of km and nb attacking the network beyond their admission of doing so months prior. You must of interpreted what I said incorrectly as you will see your consistent pestering for more info in that conversation only led to me telling you there was no more. So unfortunately you can't have what doesn't exist.

Dont make the mistake Josh of acting like you are a paragon of virtue as we all know your not, you stated something to me and now you have changed your tune and hide out with your buddy Pri who was the guy who gave KM Eagles peer cache src and the community patch src, this all went on with your knowledge and its only when you knew you would be blamed you sold KM out to me, for that alone you can be forgiven but please dont ever talk down to me as I find your whole behavior in not keeping your word unsavoury and I would urge anyone thinking of doing so never to trust you, you may want folks to forget about your involvement in this but I dont think you should get off that easy.

2sen still has files that can be downloaded via direct link but theres no site there.... but yes... there are quite a few outdated links on this site... apologies for that... google may help... but some of those sites just simply dont exsist anymore...
