I have not yet tested WCS 1.8RC3 as anyone else found anything wrong or is it stable enough with no bugs.

Very very TINY issue with the WCS logfiles, which appear to contain completely spurious Rename notifications..
During a 24 hour period in my room some 47 such totally useless entries were recorded...
As you will see below, even the network ID (last 5 digits) remains unchanged..

Was wondering if maybe KM could shed some light on why this happens? Maybe even fix it if it isn't supposed to?

Sorry to double post, but while i'm on the subject of logging,

Would it be possible for the log to incluse details such as Line, Files & any items set in fancy entry?
If a host cares to have ISP, Hostname & other such details show in the chat, either to all or to admins, I'm sure he wants those items logged also..
Using Metis to log such things would appear not to be an option, as being in bot-mode in order to run, it doesn't see fancy entry...

it doesn't filter out renames received that have the same name as before, this can be caused by going to winmx clicking rename and doing OK, or i've noticed robomx has a habit of sending duplicate renames

sometimes all details stay the same, other times the name might stay the same but other details might change (like file count or connection speed), but it generally isn't a problem, it's just the client sending a rename for the same username

Well, i tested WCS 1.8RC 3 and i must say it is pretty good. So thanks for this KM.

the archive is for beig able to get old versions of stuff... in some cases the latest versions of programs are also included purely to provide an alternate download location when the original is gone/hard to find, however in other cases the latest versions are deliberately left out, either way the archive is generally only meant to be there for finding old versions

the obvious question is why do you keep going on about it? who cares if it's in the archive or not? it's not like it's easier to go to the archive and navigate to the correct directory than it is to just go to kingmacro.net and click the download link...

Yer.. but you only have the latest version on your site, dont you?

And when you make a new version. You will replace the link. So the older version becomes unavailable on your site. Thats why i want it in Winmx World Archive.

Oh and btw.. Is there a character limit for the Password=Access=Password=Format=Announcement?

Or characters that are not aloud to be used in the format?

As when i tryed this one. It just says invalid password.

victim: the limit for logins is 100 characters for each part

bide: well if it sent a user entered message then you'd see the user has entered text twice... that's why with the fancy entry it can't send a normal entry message only a notification... (btw there is absolutely no requirement for a server to send back a message informing you that you entered, and also no reason for a client to need one)

i believe bide that either /bot or FancyEntry=0 will cause a user entry message to be sent.

if it's not in bot mode and FancyEntry=1 (the default), then km lies about how the user got there so he can print his own, user-customizable entry message instead of the default one.

I have a request feature for your next release if its possible K..

If user is silenced with no Aa access, could what they try to type be displayed as a watchcommand?
