I can not even get ES to connect. I know this is an old post but to ES is a no go

I split this topic out of another one to give the question its attention without cluttering up another thread.

I'm assuming you have forwarded the correct ports as i saw you've been through that with something else.
What is the caches address in the config?
Also make sure nodes > 0, i think the max is 7 or 8.
