Hello to everyone! All I can see is about OpenNap and nothing about fixing the WinMX issue of searching and downloading mp3s. I'm not on WinMX for chat rooms, just for mp3 uploading and downloading. WinMX has become totally useless in this past year (or longer?) and is totally disfunctional. Doing searches for mp3 files turns out to be garbage character files and nothing at all that relates to my search, or just results in getting no results at all. Is there ANY fix or workaround to this problem? Has anyone done anything to wake up the WinMX software again? I can hardly find other alternate programs or websites online for free mp3 uploads and downloads. FW (F***Twire) is all that I know that's left. Lately, it seems they've become decreasingly effective. Please HELP!!!!! Anyone!!!???

community developers are working towards a solution to the issue at hand.

As you've stated you have read about trying open nap.
You can also park in rooms with similar interests and share with people in the room.
Also try browsing people in your queue.

These seem to be the most popular workarounds.

Chris, at this point in time, Chat is worthwhile, even if just for keeping abreast of what's going on

But as Toady has suggested, for file searching, either browse people in your upload queue, or go to a chatroom, make urself at home, and browse users in there, we are all doing these things atm...
