I like many here have gone to another site that caters to the WinMX user that being Vladd44.com. After the closeing of the mx servers this site as well as vladd44 has been of great help to all users of mx.
But in the last few months ive noticed a large change in how the vladd44 forum is being managed and the complete additude change towards
open debate on ideas when they tend to go against what vladd or the pie team thinks.
They have started editing post,moveing post and deleteing post showing a lack of regard for ideas other than their own and a closed mind for
improveing Winmx as a useable P2P network.
A fast look at the admin's of the site can show you how far the site has fallen in such a short time. The one answer fits all and the admin's who say in open forum they dont even use WinMx. How can this be good for WinMX?
So many people talk about how much Vladd44 has done for MinMX over the years. What programs has he made? What servers does he run to allow people to connect to MX?
Id like to ask now what has Vladd44 really done for WinMX other than host a mediocre help site? Im not looking for a flame of vladd just facts to what he has really done for WinMX.

Which is why you asked about it on a completely different website. OF course. If oyu actually wanted an answer you'd ask the man himself on his own forum. You don't, becaseu you want to feel better by slamming a forum on another forum where that forum is unpopular. It's like going to a group of high school kids who can't stand another kid and going "Hey, you know that new guy, he's kind of a jerk, isn't he?" ONly it's even more pathetic because you're doing it on the internet. Just becasue you say you're not flaming doesn't mean that "What have oyu done for me besides run a mediocre website?" isn't the most insulting way you could have possibly phrased the question. Hell, I dont' use Win MX anymore. Even though I've been connected I never get download speeds faster than 129 bytes per second, and I can find everythign i need on Bit Torrent. These are all free softwares, it's not liek you have to pick one over the other becaseu you have to spend 50000 dollars on them. Thy're free. So I use all of them. Are you saying I'm wrong?

The reason ive asked here is becouse it keeps getting deleted on vladd44 forum and if you take this as a slam id say theres room on vladd's site for a new admin for ya.
The way you respond its clear you agree with how he and his admins are acting so thats one for vladd. But i dont see any thing youve said that states vladd has done any thing for mx.
So is that a yes vladd has helped mx or no?
Aonyone thats not a child id love to hear more about this.

I cant exactly answer your question, my best shot is plenty really in the past.. just not much lately.

The condition of that site saddens me a lot. I have been posting on that site for quite sometime and have known Vladd ever since I joined MX. His name and that site have been synonymous with WinMX for years. In my opinion it has become more of a circus then a help site. You cant post there, if you disagree with Love your posts will be deleted or moved, you cant ask questions, you cant voice concerns and you cant offer advice.. so its basically just a cesspool these days. I am surprised that Love hasnt added this to her formula to fix the world, "Anything you say will be moved to the cesspool if it in anyway differs from my views as per Vladds instructions that I twist to fit the need".
Vladd himself has made several posts lately calling users names and complaining about us whining over things like blocking the flooding on WinMX. He's become abusive and the site appears to me to belong to Love not Vladd anymore. Its been happening for ages now, and I see no end in sight. I wonder if he still doesnt understand that being incharge means the buck stops with you over actions of the people your in charge of.
I have had several posts deleted for criticizing Love, and he defends this is seems tooth and nail from the looks of his actions or non actions about it.

The fact is we saw first hand some of the poor decisions that he has made regarding events post Sept 23rd, and when we were banned from the discussion forum for not being 'Team' players we made those concerns very public and he hasnt gotten over the fact that his actions where construed by many to be over the top. This "do nothing, listen to no one" attitude has been building for months and its a terrible shame as many of the admins and regular posters on that site are very talented folks with lots of good knowledge to offer to WinMX, but these are over shadowed by what is becoming obvious to many regular users that its not the help site it once was.

Recently we have tried many times to put past actions where they belong, in the past and move on, but its difficult. There are several it would seem that could care less about peace and cooperation. That site sits at the forefront of WinMX sites and its turning into shit, and this is what folks see when they google WinMX? So before anyone comes here and tells me the old well if you dont like it dont go.. its bigger then that. We are talking about rebuilding a multi million user network.. not whos panties are in a wad over being told their magic stinks.

The day I feel like Vladd does about WinMX users and start abusing people the way he and his admin has lately is the day you wont see me post anymore, Also before anyone reads this and wants to tell me I am assuming things .. remember this.."If it smells like shit, and looks like shit, I dont want to step in it"..

I was really thinking it was just me seeing all this i feel better knowing
im not alone. I really hope he changes the way things are going on his forum and really what he is bringing to mx its really hurtting things ive noticed the post on his forum are falling off as well. No matter what i think of vladd its sad to see another P2P site go down when we need them to step up in helping WinMX regain the people it has lost.After reading a few post on his forum now and seeing how the admins are responding could and has turned alot off from comeing back.

Well i guess you folks have already formed your opinions based on an extremly short time span of events, but i will as always, take a little shot at addressing them as best i can:

1. What has Vladd ever done for Winmx - well you should really address that to him directly, but i would say even Ghost has called for Vladd to comment on issues, use his name to raise profiles and show leadership to the community, so perhaps Ghost will add his opinion, but quite frankly i dont see why Vladd needs to justify himself in anyway, but his profile on Winmx is clearly strong as is his leadership. I have seen a number of comments asking what programs has Vladd made for Winmx? Vladd isnt a programmer so why would you try to measure him on programs? Vladds forum alone that he set up and spends many many hours maintaining and improving is a huge contribution to Winmx, i dont have the figures but i think its fair to say that site has helped thousands and thousands of users. If you are going to apply the stupid "What programs has him or her written for winmx" question to judge users contributions, i suspect there will be very few users that pass your test.

2. The editing, deleting and moving of threads/posts on Vladd44 forum -

- "editing" only took place once, a word replacement was set to teach km a lesson to quit spamming winmxgroup/world links all over the damn forum, to my knowledge NO other posts were edited, and the little lesson seems to have been very effective, this is not a course of action thats been used before or since, but was in response to 1 user spamming the forum, most forums would have deleted the users posts and banned him/her from the forum, Vladd did not adopt that sort of policy.

- moving of posts/threads - if someone posts in the incorrect forum, its moved to the correct forum, this includes:

Flames from all forums to Cesspool
Winmx q's from all forums to Winmx forum
BT Q's from all forums to BT forum

Need i go on? you get the idea, the right thread to the right forum, same deal happens on this site and just about every forum going.

3. Deleteing of posts:

I cant and wont speak for Love, she has been entrusted by Vladd to admin the forum, i dont agree with the manner in which she deleted some posts, but i am of the understanding she used her interpretation of Vladds guidelines, therefore it is a matter for Vladd to discuss with Love. I will add though, Love has only been a site admin for a matter of a few weeks, and as helped many many users get reconnected, so cut her a little slack, and quit using her actions over an extremely short time period to condem a site thats been helping users for years.

4. Admins that dont use Winmx any longer: I presume you are refering to Freez, i dont see its relevant if he uses Winmx or not, he doest need to, to be a site admin. When i was a kid, i took swimming lessons, the instructor couldnt actually swim himself at all, but he was very able to teach 1000's of kids to swim. So whats your point?

And without intending to Flame this forum at all, Chuck, from what i see on Vladd44 forum your the one spoiling for a fight, i suggest you refocus your energy onto helping users rather than baiting vladd or other site admins, if you really do feel Vladd44.com has gone downhill then its your choice not to visit, but i will state for the record if you do visit the site and post flames on any forum other than the cesspool, i will move your
thread to the cesspool. Same deal if you post BT q's on the Winmx forum. You get the idea.

To Ghost and Mehere, please dont over react to my post, its only meant to address the points raised as accuratly and politely as possible.

Nobby you speek of leadership so what your saying is the downward fall of vladd44 forum is all by his makeing? So happy you can swim but to me and others we would like to have a up to date user giveing advice on use of a program not someone that just post what he reads and has no working idea if it really works. As far as spoiling for a fight i ask a question and you have no real answer so you call that looking for a fight? I have no dought you and others will move any post you dont think fits in to stroking Pie teams high regard for vladd or your actions as of late. And many hours maintaining and improving his forum im sorry i dont see that at all , ive seen no improvement its the lack of ive been asking about. You and the rest of the admins edit , delet and move all the post whats left for him to do? Not update content on his page its not changed in years.

Does it matter really if someone helping you is still a user of winmx or not? The program hasn't changed.. Would you stop someone from advising you about Windows 95 or 3.1 if they knew the answer? Just because they've personally moved to XP or even Linux? If they know the answer & are helping, then they're helping, that's all.

Ok chuck, you have had the answer to your Question, now please dont adopt the silly tactics you did on Vladds forum, agree or disagree with the answer thats up to you, but be very clear on one point, Vladd44.com has been the premier source of winmx help and info for a long time, there are other sites this one included that have sprung up, and also offer good help and advice, but i think you will find, Vladds site by far and away gets the most traffic, why? well because its still regarded by many as the premier site, thats not to take anything away from this or other sites its just fact. As for how much work goes into running one of these sites? Well ask about, im sure Ghost and Mehere can make you aware of the many hours of freetime they give up to run this site.

And as for your comments about Freez, please see Bearded Blunders reply.

As for me not supplying answers, i have given you an answer regarding Vladds contribution, i have explained why and when posts were edited, i have explained why posts are moved, i have also explained that you dont need to be a user to be a site admin, if you chose to ignore the answers thats up to you, but it would seem pointless asking question when you dont wish to know the answers.

Nobby sounds like your makeing excuses . I think if you look you will see a decline in traffic to the forum becouse of how its being ran.To compare the way vladd44 forum is ran to how this forum is ran is funny all you have to do is look at the post on eaither forum one does not degrade the user and helps all with more than a cut and paste of the MF. I think it is you that is trying to look for a fight sorry not working.

Look now Chuck is not the only person that is having problems with Vladd and his cronies.

Although there is nothing we can do about it. I would like to tell you my expirience with Vladd.

1. He never spoke to me personally.
2. One time I was having a problem with the PIEPatch and they told me to delete that .dll file and I had BendMX running and I told them and they told me to get rid of it anyway. Well I did and guess there I'm at now.
3. They have poked fun at me on that forum of theirs and never appologized and I keep asking them to and they never respond.

I personally dont like Vladd and his friends. How they handle things is not right but we cant do anything about it.

first let me say this is not a complaint against anyone.....
but it is these kind of coments that in the end will only harm winmx in a whole
now you may not like the way vladd44 is run
i myself have issues with the magic formula and the way it is posted as a fix for any winmx related problem
i have spoke or tried to speak with love about this but got no sensible answer but that is my cross to bear
i have now come to a point where i rearly post on v44
but when you say all the site admins are usless for want of a better word i am affraid i would have to disagree with that as i know that not all the site admins are as bad as they are made out to be.
now i must ad the answer is simple really if you dont like how the v44 site is run then dont visit because in time if enough people get upset with there treatment on the site they will find somewhere else to visit
