Folks I had the idea that people where innocent until found guilty and that it was illegal to prejudge a case in public when your the side presenting it in court but that exactly what the Dept Of ("justice" ?) is attempting to do.

I read two articles today both came from information supplied by the DOj and both seem to show that they have a poor hand and want to prejudice any jury with wild claims and off topic revelations, lets see the first one on a Pro-meda mafia site

According to the DOJ’s evidence, between at least June 2007 and December 2011, Dotcom received more than 280,000 e-mails with copyright-infringement alerts and other takedown notices. In 2009, in response to an email from a Megaupload employee that Warner Bros. was requesting removal of 2,500 files per day, Dotcom responded that the limit should be increased to 5,000 per day — but “not unlimited,” which the government argued shows the Megaupload conspiracy arbitrarily limited the ability of copyright owners to remove infringing content.

Of course all these take downs where done at the cost of megaupload and not the organisation requesting them so why should there not be a limit, time is money after all, also its been show many times before that the Hollywood panic-mongers will make false claims if left unchecked to do so. Is this the best the FBI can come up with after going through over a million emails ???

Lets move on to the next effort to undermine megaupload, the good old personal attack that of course has nothing whatsoever to do with the case at hand but non the less is designed to tarnish dot-com before any hearing.

Three months before federal authorities shuttered Megaupload and indicted its top seven executives, the file-sharing site’s founder, Kim Dotcom, urged PayPal not to do business with rival sites because of their “criminal activity,” according to a 200-page document Virginia federal prosecutors unveiled today.

It seems the authorities want it both ways they want to claim that he was turning an illegal profit and that it was all done on the back of Hollywoods often lamentable output and then when its clear he did in fact take steps to stop piracy they have a childish melt down, its clear to most that if this is all they have to present to a Judge, random email cut and pastings (in my opinion  tittle-tattle) then they are going to have to be ready to foot a multi-billion dollar payout for the damage done to dot-coms business that they destroyed overnight and for their unhinged insistence the NZ authorities used a heavy handed swat attack on dot-com and his children,.

Can I suggest the FBI stop watching those violent  Hollywood action movies and try to base their actions on real life ?

Now as its christmas lets finish off with that great tune

Merry xmas everyone  :-D
