WinMx 3.54b4
Comcast cable

haven't used winmx in a few years

using secondary network
- low search results. to test i did a search on
- 'Bob Dylan' - only 5 results
- 'Duke Ellington'- 0 results
- 'Jessie J' - 1 result

in the Local Area Connection i have
IPv6 Connectivity - no network access
IPv4 Connectivity - internet

the address boxes for both of these are blank
have copied all numbers from the Command Prompt
attached is image of Command Prompt
and Connection windows

Hi Bamboleo I think your problem is network related and not at your end, please read the following link for further information on why WinMX is not wokring as before.

We are doing our best to develop a new client that does not suffer from the protocol weaknesses that WinMX has built into it but it may still be some time before its as polished as WinMX is due to having a small development group.

I have been asking folks to use the OpeNap network functionality until we have something that's good enough to take the place of WinMX.

I nearly forgot

If you want to get a list of chat rooms you can do so here and simply copy and paste the chat address of the room you wish to visit into the box at the top of the winMX chat list , I hope this is useful

now getting LOTS of hits

one thing about my posted screenshot
the IP properties have blank addresses
shouldn't there be something in there?

I can see your IP in there and a lot of the rest is to do with IPv6 which I am clueless about, maybe someone else may have the answers you need

yeah i see now
the ip address shows in the command prompt window
i thought something should show in the IPv4 Properties box
but the IP address is automatic

yeah i realized that after
i should have blocked out the:
physical address
ip address
hostname

anyways i went back into the message and did not see any 'edit' options
please remove the image and thanks again
