New DMCA Exemptions Include Car Software and Some Medical Devices

The Library of Congress has adopted new exemptions to the Digital
Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provision that prohibits circumventing
technology that controls access to copyrighted works. The new exemptions
include vehicle software for the purposes of diagnosis, repair, or
modification and certain networked medical devices.
