need a bit of help here. i am trying to open a room using wcs. everything is fine loads , runs, i get in, sign on as admin......perfect. then i invite some pals in and the link i give dont work. so they browse chats and some can see the room and others cannot. those that can see it...cannot get in. now i know damn good and well the room is open cause i got in, and it seems as though im the only one that can get in.

i have gone over everything..port forwarding, fw's, av...everything. i have shut down everything but winmx and wcs and still they cannot get in. i have spoken to at least a dozen knowlegable wcs hosts and been to every help site i can find.

can someone point me in a direction other then where i have been already.

This sounds as if the room is not accessible outside your own network.
I'm assuming the room name that works for you has lots of zero's in it?
That would mean you can get in using your local (loopback) adress but nobdy outside can.

Are you sure you've got the ports forwarded that wcs uses?
It's port 3 by default but can be changed to anything you'd like.

Maybe you should come by our room and one of us could try getting into yours

well i tried that and i was there about 3-4 seconds before getting kicked/banned. for what i dont know didnt even get the chance to say hello.

We're having troubles with being attacked by the riaa I think - we're going through lots of connections atm - anybody know how to block for wcs - and wcs only - on linux?

thanks. i had to set my port forwarding when i installed winmx...but had forgotten how to do it and also didnt realize i could set a range. thanks bro, you saved my room and my mind....take care.
