I suppose I have the benefit of having played with much of the software and thus have a level of conficence in it , Robo is always pretty solid.

Once again kudo's for resolving the problem yourself   8) 8) 8)

I have a working example of the Webchat. I was told to just extract the files inside the webserver however, the person who tried it has said it doesn't work. Is there a Tutorial on how to setup the files for a webchat? It would help alot. Thanks Cam.

Hey, I finally just got a webhost. so now I am going to try putting this in there. I'm just not sure what I am doing. Any suggestions on what might work?

In fact there is  :-D.

The above required a program called the WPNList to create a list of chats for folks to choose from to join

KM updated Nushis to work on his site back in the day:

however the frontcode closure saw the progran unable to connect to the net as the IP addy  was changed

archive DOT winmxworld DOT com SLASH Patched_Cache_Programs SLASH Modified%20WPN%20List.zip

Not sure where that version points to but that was the fixed version back in the day.

Heres a working demo of the type of thing you asked about

I cannot post links even in posts, so they were removed.

Theres is another program that does the same thing but I have to run to work, look for it on the mxstuff site if its still there.

The first two links don't work, they don't connect or list any channels.

I got archive DOT winmxworld DOT com SLASH Patched_Cache_Programs SLASH Modified%20WPN%20List.zip to run.

When I connect to my Win Server 2019 VM on the main page I see the room list!!!

Because I cannot post links, I cannot post full testing and diagnostic details here (could have told me that before I did the capthcas even though I already did the capthcas when I made an account...

jxi7TQ9N

go to pastebin dot com slash jxi7TQ9N to see details...

Sorry for making multiple posts but I don't see a way to edit my posts.

Important to note, if these web chats clients used code from RoboMX, which is licensed under the open-source GPL license, then authors of these web chat clients are bound to release them under the GPL.

Good thing that robo MX is open source so others can see the source and they don't have to re-invent the wheel and we don't have to worry about coders not knowing how the WPN works, if RoboMX wasn't open source, we may not have the other great MX software we have today!!

PS Here is the uuencode for the pastebin link:

Code: [Select]
=:'1T<',Z+R]P87-T96)I;BYC;VTO:GAI-U11.4X`

The above required a program called the WPNList to create a list of chats for folks to choose from to join

Not sure where that version points to but that was the fixed version back in the day.

Heres a working demo of the type of thing you asked about

http://webchat.mxstuff.org/join/index.php

or here

http://taboochat.net/webchat/join/index.php

Theres is another program that does the same thing but I have to run to work, look for it on the mxstuff site if its still there.

The first two links don't work, they don't connect or list any channels.

I got https://archive.winmxworld.com/Patched_Cache_Programs/Modified%20WPN%20List.zip to run.

When I connect to my Win Server 2019 VM on the main page I see the room list!!!

BUT!!!! I cannot signin to a room.

So at http://localhost/?a=WinMxWorld.Com+Help_BABA1354BABE I can see the room listed. When I click the room name, I get a page asking for a username w/ a "Join Channel" button.

When I enter a username and click the button to join the channel,   a new tab opens:

http://localhost/room.php?room=WinMXWorld.com%20Help_BABA1354BABE&name=ENTER_USERNAME_HERE

Then it just displays an error page:

Code: [Select]

that looks like activex style doings... see if it works in internet explorer... if not check that you are serving the right MIME type for .cab files
