I just wanted to get an idea about the normal speeds that most people have in winmx.

If you don't know how much it is, close all your internet accesing applications and go to

most people can generally download much faster than they can upload

I'm new to this forum, and I wonder if anyone can help me out. With the old winmx my download speeds seemed to be pretty good, but I just found the new version and the speeds are abysmal. Less than 1 kbs on DSL

You may need to remove all winmx rules from yur firewalls. Once you have done that, remove winmx too and make a complete reinstall. Put all te rules you need. YOu may also need to forward ports on routers. visit www.portforward.com to see your router model and se how to config it....

Or you may try out the new winmx group 3.1 beta patch. It automaticially forwards ports on most NAT compitable routers.
