Winmx in a Nutshell (may not be in proper order)

- network gets shut down then reconnected by users
- is attacked by external forces
- internal power struggle
- original dll patch/blocklist implemented
- internal power struggle
- unifying patch (eagle patch) with blocklist developed
- internal attack that nearly destroys network
- failure of attempt to clone
- network doesnt give up
- attacks cease

- time passes

- forum goes quiet (however;)
- network still functions with lively chat

so... winmx still works with everyone on the same playing field...
the clone client may have failed, but overall, goal achieved? its been an interesting, loud, and bumpy ride getting there but, seems like it.

does the MX network still exsist for file sharing? rooms and such? just wondering.... i am on thr dc network... but stumbled into here.

The thing is, there isn't really much to be said about winmx itself anymore, due to things finally calming down.

don't know, but there are more rooms opening and file sharing in some rooms is as ever before,
the only thing missing is the leader of the clone client who seems to have disappeared in smoke.
I would not know where to point new developer

clone client would have been nice but the clone that was being made wasn't exactly cross platform.... which is what i wanted in a clone...

winmx itself works fine tho... throw mxmoni and channel rejoiner in the mix and its quite nice...
