I have Rogers. I was away when they decided to screw over the customers. It wasnt that long ago they were and still are advertising the extreme service for "large file sharing" So of course I bought the extreme modem.
I couldnt figure out why my downloads were conking out. To be brief, I have called Rogers tech three times now. each time I got a different answer. no we are definetly not throttling , yes we sure are becuase of you greedy downloaders " the internet was not designed to be used for p2p sharing. Never mind if you dont use your 60 gb a month or not".And finally " well yes we sorta are but you should still get about 30k/sec. So here we are ;fancy modem, paying for 60 gb and getting nothing. I said to the tech so what I now have is a very fast email and browser program. She said "well you can still download programs quickly " how many programs do you think we need? Time for a change if possible. Thanks for letting me rant
