Author Topic: Cant access the patch (Read 1462 times)

I am using 3.54 beta 4. At the top of my screen it says "Update available. click here to update. THe words "Patch operational "is in shadows . When I try to download the "install 2.2 nomx.exe" I get a message saying "error opening file for writing" Any help is greatly appreciated. Is there somwhere that I can download a fully functional versaion of Winmx with all patches etc installed?

You must have WinMx off when installing the patches, try shutting down MX and reinstall.

Unfortunatly even with winmx turned off I get the same result . Is there a source for a working copy of winmx with patches installed that I can download?

Please make sure you download the patch, not run it, i.e. you may have to use the option 'save as..." depending on your browser.
After it is finished downloading go to the location you saved it to and then run it.
If you click on the download link on top of that site it will give you a patch including winmx (install2.2.exe), the install2.2_nomx.exe is the patch only.

Let us know if it works now...

THanks for the information. th dl worked. Now the message across the top of the window says "Currently blocking flooders to protect the network" I guess thaty makes me up to date:) Now to figure a way around my isp blocking my uploads and downloads.
