you can still chat on winmx.
lots of channels are still running.
the host does not need to be connected to the peer network to run the room.
All you need to do is join from your list of favorites or from a text list of running channels

Hi I really need help Ive been using WinMX for a couple of months no problems I loved it. Now the last 2 days it just keeps searching for network connection and cant find it I just dont know what to do Plz help!

Bethoney. the makers of winmx where forced to shut down the peer caches they run.. we have reopened some of our own, how ever you will need to install a patch inorder for your WinMX to contact the new caches

no doubt id like to be a part of this .i only host temp rooms as they needed for ppl to restore their comps but i truly enjoy helpin as admin in your group(as my knowledge alllows). i see this as a good opportunity to meet others to exchange /gain more info to be a part of winmx .so pls add me to this group

I've been hanging in the Jazz-Rock-Fusion- Guitar room, and recently we've been having major problems keeping the room up and running.
Also, I can't get to the winmx chat room either. Is something going on Me Here??? In WinMX ,I mean??????

every time i install bendmx i can't establish a network connetion, then i uninstall mx, and reinstall just mx i can. would like to use bendmx because has cool toys.

You need to run the patch after installing BendMx otherwise it won't work.
I suggest you install BendMx, then run the noMX installer from here:
https://www.winmxgroup.com/Install-2.2-noMX.exe
this will update the patch and should automatically detect BendMX on your system and work around that - at least that what KM claims

Just like to update the link here to the latest patchs, they have been tested and found to be ok with BendMx installations.

I'm very confused I had winmx when it was frontline - 3.53 and loved it. In fact I paid for a life time membership. has it been taken over ? can download a patch and get it to work again?

If you have paid for WinMX and it takes out of your credit/debit card monthly then I would suggest contacting your credit card company or bank. WinMX is and will always be free.

I Can't find the winmxworld.com chat room. tried joining by pasting WinMxWorld.Com_32D143D119CA into the filter, no go. And winmx is doing that crazy timed out on everything again, last time you helped me with something about windows only allowing a certain number of connections, don't remember how though.

for future, try filtering the rooms with winmxworld. Then you'll see this room among some others.
And if the name has changed, then you can add it to your favorites again

I am having problems playing my music on Winamp......when I doubleclick on a song in my library I get an error message box that reads "Winamp has caused an error IN_MP3.DLL Winamp will now close. Everything was working fine till I did the update to WinMX 3.54 Patch Operational. Don't know what to do to get both working together.
