Winmx population

Was just wondering if anyone had the stats for the current winmx population?!!

Its been interesting to see how all other p2p networks fare but i've found it hard to get accurate mx user stats.

If anyone has any idea please let me know!!!

I can't speak for the current winmx population, KM might have access to some figures with some substance, but, very gradually the normal population of my chatroom has returned so far to almost 2/3 of what it was before frontcode shut their servers off, this could be an indicator, or it could be that people have gravitated there because I have some regs who chat, i know a few people who have tried setting new rooms up & find it very difficult to get them populated, although that could be simple impatience on their part, or not engaging those who do enter in interesting conversation.

I do know how big the network is, I am the only person with the statistics required to be able to give an approximation, however you're not going to like it so i'm not saying anything... lol

By looking at the roomlist and user counts, it looks like we only lost about 1/3 of the users. But remember that the users who use WinMX for chatting are those who are interested in keeping it running, so we can't really rely on those statistics. We probably lost more of the users that only use WinMX for file sharing, so I'd say.. we lost 2/5 users after the caches went down. that's just a guess though. And KM, don't flame me if I'm guessing totally wrong

the chat users are about the same as before, however the total user count has dropped quite a lot and is nowhere near the size it used to be, but hopefuly in a few months time we will be much closer to the old user base with what is going on with other file sharing clients...
