This morning it was noticed by the anti-flooding team that Macrovision have changed the operation of their flooding system slightly.
The blocklist will still track them easily and WinmxGroup patches will still operate correctly.
I have decided to let you all know of this change as it may affect file searches, I,m sure most of you are aware of how to spot fakes etc and for now increased vigilance is advised, this can take the shape of being more specific about what type of files you require at what bitrate and on what line type etc, all these will return less of a flood than an open search so please take the time to set them before pressing the search button.
Please note that the more of us blocking them the less problem they will become, we are able to publish a list of primarys not blocking flooders but we do not wish to fight amongst ourselves, lets stand united and firm and all encourage blocking of fake secondaries from the network.
Hosts : Please make sure all room members are using a blocking method and help cost macrovision their multi-million pound contract.
