Ghost, i think your over reacting here, no real info was posted, and even if it was, the fact that Sabre could easily get it from a whois would seem to me that anyone wishing to get such details could do so. As for the alledged attacks, as you pointed out, Josh hasnt been whiter than white in the past, i think its big of him to forget about it and move on, one thing i would add though, perhaps its best for minors and anyone who easily offends to simply not go prodding Sabre and winding him up, then he will have no reason to react.

Let me be a little more clear about this Nobby, Sabre had launched an unprovoked attack on Josh, you can attempt to mislead all you wish, no one prodded Sabre or else I,m sure you would be here with the proof rather than making apologies for an online bully who is a disgrace to the community by acting in this way and attacking a 14 yr old boy.

And lets be very clear Sabre was convinced that the information he posted was real, you make all the excuses you wish, I stand against bullys and child abusers, you stand to lose the respect of many by condoning this sort of childish abuse of winmx users of a young age.

I suggest you stop trying to defend his actions to save the pie teams a**, it doesnt do you any favours, and rest assured I will demand of anyone accountability who does this sort of activity for fun, is it too much to ask that Sabre one of the major cache operators behaves respectably and responsibly while so many rely on his cache ?

Im not sure what post your reading of mine Ghost, but you have clearly taken it the wrong way, but i will address your points anyway:

unprovoked? i have no idea what has gone on, but are you to have me beleive that Sabre randomly picked Josh's ip and hit it for fun? Im NOT defending Sabre, merely saying that from my experience that would not fit my perception of the guy, same goes for posting info, he wouldnt waste his time unless something or someone provoked him. The bottom line is this, instead of using his technical knowledge to figure out what was happening ( he has repeatedly denied this was his work ) I and many others saw a grown man attempt to bully a kid, this wont ever sit well with me and puts the whole pie teams efforts at risk, no Sabres caches = no host file users, is this not serious enough for you ?
Do you not see how this could have a serious impact on pie if a complaint was made ?

Am am disappointed with you Bug, I think that what you posted regarding Nobbys children is unecessary and designed to cause anger, Nobby is not Sabre and you will not use the site here to make unfounded allegations of this type.

I also think that you deciding we need to have a war with the pie team is not going to benefit any of the users, and while I share many of your views about some of their unhelpful activities I do not share the view that we should launch any actions against them, they may be technicaly behind in what they have done, but they did a good job of helping gather users back to the network.

Anyone posting on this site is responsible for their own posts and I ask all posters  to be just that , responsible, the community only stays strong by giving each other some respect and a little leeway when disputes arise and tempers flare, that is not a licence to abuse others.

I think this thread has gone in a sour direction... It looked to me that nobby was just making a little joke to KM about the address being fake, and no one should take that as him defending sabre...

I do agree however that it is not correct what nobby followed up with about minors being careful not to step on sabre's toes... Minors have rights as do the rest of us. No one should walk on egg shells simply because of sabre being a pansy who has to try to attack anyone who doesn't agree with him. To me he is nothing more than a sorry ass who did indeed take advantage of info on a minor and try to intimidate him.

Sabre is not a man. He is a weak little schmuck who cannot control his temper enough to prevent him from threatening a kid. That is simply sad.

In my opinion, I think that a complaint SHOULD be made. I don't care if he is hosting a peer cache or not. It doesn't mean he should be protected, or have any sort of immunity.

And the people who rely on his peer cache will either switch to the dll, or go to another p2p. Which although the loss to the community wouldn't be nice, the loss of the flooders would be.

WinMX is growing either way. It will continue to grow, even with a loss of the hosts users. So if the complaint resulted in his peer cache being shut down, so be it. It would be worth it to clean up the network, and to get that fool out of the picture. No one needs him in control of anything, no matter how small the part. He is a problem, and will be as long as he operates anything that any other user relies on.

I disagree with nobby's assumption that he must have been provoked, as there is nothing that warrants provocation of such a potentially dangerous act, especially to a minor.

HOWEVER, I do not take that as nobby defending the idiot... Just that he has a different view of it than I do.
