Can anyone tell me where I can download the ALBWFix program? I found where there are instructions to use it, but can't find where to download it. Thank you

I have ALBWfix. Pm me your email address. It's in zipped format so I should have no troubles emailing you the program if your email server allows receipt of zips.. I don't know it's download site to direct you to it.

aussiegirl: the forum allows you to attach zip files to your posts which is probably simpler (plus it makes the file available for others) ;-)

(if you normally use quick reply, use a normal reply for the attachment options)

I've tried several times and booted but the server is timing me out trying to upload the file to the forum.

You can also use Alba-Extractor as an alternative to this.
It usually extracts everthing mentioned as corrupt by AlbumWrap-Extractor.

http://sf.net/projects/alba

Operating System:
All 32-bit MS Windows (95/98/NT/2000/XP),
All POSIX (Linux/BSD/UNIX-like OSes), Linux
License: GNU General Public License (GPL)
still somehow freightened when i shall get inserted

I'm 128k ISDN.. dial-up. Maybe I don't have the bandwidth required to process the upload within the time limit. I've tried several more times. I'll see if a broadband friend friend of mine will upload the file on my behalf.

In the meantime ALBA extractor is worth a try if it's not a genuine wrap. However I think if the wrap header is damaged then ALBWFix is the way to go. I'll do my best to get it online for you.

Thanks for the the Alba Extractor.  It unwrapped ALL of my files previously unwrapped by the other program.  I currenly use Alba Extractor now to unwrapped them all cause Ilike the way you can clear your files out out the window after extracting so you can go find some more files to unwrap.

Just found this site. I have used both ALBWFix and ALBA extractor for some years and can confirm that there are situations where a file purporting to be an ALBW will extract in one program but not the other, assuming always ALBW itself won't recognise it. I have even had a case where after a successful ALBWFix, ALBW still won't recognise it, neither will ALBA, but ALBA will now open the back-up .~mp3 file created by ALBWFix. How weird is that?

Help and How To Guide For AlbwFix

Sometimes people mislabel a whole album mp3 file as albw even tho it's not a albw.If that is the case you would have to get a mp3 splitter to split each individual song from the whole album mp3.
