unicows.dll not found

I posted a few days that I had downloaded the patch and got the message that unicows.dll wrapper was not found. Some kind people told me how to go and get it so I did. It still didn`t work so I went into my WinNX file, my system files and registry it says it`s there but when I try and bring up my WinMX it says it can`t be found any suggestions...???

Are you sure that your desktop icon links to the same winmx folder or is it possible that you have it installed more than once in different folders?

Try double-clicking on the winmx.exe in the winmx folder where the unicows.dll is as well and see if that works.

Maybe that shortcut on your desktop is from a former install or something and links you to another place.

Let us know what happens...

Yes I have unstalled in and reinstalled it several times but I always used the uninstaller....I did what you suggested by going onto the WinMX file in program files double clicking on the icon and got the same message that the unicow.dll wrapper could not me found.... Do you think if I uninstalled itall again and re-did it that that might work..?
