Subject: [winmx] PG2 blocking all WinMX peer cache servers

The Bluetack p2p block list for PG2 is blocking all of the WinMX peer
cache servers , so if you're using the .dll with PG2 with the Bluetack
/PG2 p2p block list you need to add the WinMX World allow list -->
https://www.winmxwor ld.com/files/ allow.txt to PG2 so you can connect to
KM's , Data's & rock's WinMX peer cache servers.
For MXPie user you've to manually browse to the PG2 p2p block list ,
click open list , right click the MXPie cache IP 205.238.40.0 -
205.238.47.255 & IP 205.238.41.6 & click allow permanently.

Your welcome!! Bluetack seem to have problems with people criticizing there block list. They're being rude & deleting posts on there forum from WinMX World admins / mods or other people who went to there complaining that the the Bluetack p2p block list was blocking a couple of the WinMX peer cache servers & now they decided within the last week to add all of the WPCS IP's addresses to the Pg2 p2p block list.
So much for them being pro p2p.

Indeed bluetack are an anti-p2p group who have recently begun blocking peoples access to the winmxgroup peer caches

This is not the first time, and I am certain it will not be the last.

WinMX Group Patch users who are running peer guardian should have noticed no problems connecting except for a delay, An additional cache was put online that is not blocked (and it is on a dynamic IP with access to subnets on several different class A's in case they do try to block it) so they can still connect.

It is strongly recommended that users simply stop using those block lists, the simplest way is to simply remove peer guardian - or of course you can use peer guardian with custom lists and disable the bluetack one. Using peer guardian with the bluetack lists does not block the flooders and protect the network, whereas using the winmxgroup patch does do so automatically.

Do I understand it correctly that we should stop using PG2 altogether now.  I have just upgraded to the v3.54 beta 4 version everything seems to be working well.  To be honest, I've just finally been able to upload/download after 8 months of trying without any luck
Thanks, Lynda

yes you must completely stop using Pg2
Pg was there for only one thing: Blocking flooders. As the flooders are being blocked by the dll, then there is not need for Pg2. It also likes 100% of the Cpu's devotion
I recently tried it and it hates many opennap servers as well -.-
Best chuck it out of the window

Cheers :P
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)
