:?I'm on 56K dial-up and often ,while browsing,i come across an album that I'd like to explore -I wouldn't make a habit of d/loading the entire album purely because it'll take up so much time and someone else would miss out on an upload,and well It's all about sharing and being reasonable about it.so,if ya get the time,can ya please open up the albums?I do also realize there's only so much space on a hd.Thanks!

Why don't you downlaod the whole albums. i don't mind anyone downlaoding it from me so long that he has some files shared. Neither do many people.
If someone does mind, he or she will disconnect you....

I do find entire albums annoying and tend to avoid them

there are 2 major problems with them:
1. how to extract them, there is no consistency, sometimes it's a zip file renamed mp3, sometimes it's albumwrap, sometimes it's just a long mp3 that you have to split manually (which is damn annoying and useful for nothing more than exercising my delete key)
2. if you don't want the entire album but just a few tracks

there aren't any real advantages to sharing an entire album as 1 file, if they want the whole thing then it takes the same amount of time to download the entire album as separate files so makes no difference, but for those who don't want it as 1 huge file it is annoying

I agree, I hate whole albums. Got tired of seperating it. I download the whole albums, or all there albums at once. Just in seperate mp3's. Hard to find people to get it from on winmx and get them all, I would share but I have no net on that computer. I got all my stuff from torrent though. Best place.

only reason i might start sharing some of my files in albw format is the file limit on winmx, separating them can indeed be a pain, many i had to split manually, however if 3/5000 linit on share drives me to it.. they will at least all be tested albws

Hi reiszam,

Most albums you download on WinMX will be in what we see as ALBW format.. (not all but most) Its always best to see if this is the case first of all by trying this program to 'unwrap' them, its free and easy to use and will also tell you if the file is 'not' a ALBW format. If its not then the Link Sam posted might be needed instead.. but give this a try first...
