First of all don't panic, your new DSL modem probably needs setting up for winmx, if you don't use open nap we have a patch that might do it for you Here if you don't want to use a beta, then visit www.portforward.com click on the make & model of your modem on the routers page & winmx on the page after, they have good step-by step instructions for setting most up.

*edit direct link to file edited to winmxgroup front page (file no longer available)   BB

Also, if you don't see winmx in the uninstall folder, then go to the folder in which you have winmx installed and you'll see an exe file named uninstallmx
Double click that file and winmx will get uninstalled. you can also directly delete the winmx folder. That is as good as uninstalling.
(Directly deleting the folder works only for winmx. Don't even think of doing that for any other program)

Cheers :P
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)

Some modems have inbuilt routers. Check out the site I mentioned below and see if you can see your modem there. Or you might want to look at the manual itself and see if anything is mentioned there.....

Cheers :P
