I know i keep bringing this up km but thought id make a post so you keep seeing it and maybe ya will do it lol.

Can we have some of the reports that are only said in the chat server window made displayable in the room. You could add them to the config so they can be turned on and off so peeps with your taste doesnt have to see them but peeps like me who want to see them can instead of looking at the chat server itself. I really only want to be able to see the banned join attempt's as i intend to host the room on a diffrent machine i wont have direct access to in the coming weeks. Hope you can and maybe a few other suggestions could be threw in the pot by other users. If ya not too busy that is. maybe they could be looked into on future version's of wcs. I also have a few other suggestions but that is the main one for now. Thanks in advance

there is a simple reason it doesn't have that... i can't get lcc to add an icon to the exe file, it won't use the damn resource files i try to use, so therefore no icon = no tray icon

Yup would also like that feature. or maybe a option to run wcs as a service. So just totaly dissapears and can be opened by clicking a icon or by a string like shift+e or somethin. Would be abit easyer than i icons me thinks??? again i wouldnt know.

having a tray icon would be simpler if lcc would actually use the damn resource files, it claims that if i give it a resource file it will use it, which would be why i keep getting files with no icons in them...? damn thing...

if i can get an icon in to the exe file then making a tray icon appear and then setting minimize to instead hide and having icon clicks show again would be extremely simple to do, it's just the first bit of getting lcc to compile the icon that's a problem

i have to make a small update to WCS later tonight so i'll give the icon for windows another try while i'm at it but don't hold your breath... well actually, snippy can hold his breath

Another idea lol. what about *@ being able to see logins. at end of the day i only have that as being room host and if you are top level why not see them???? lol thanks again though for the last lot of updates

Damn only me with ideas. How hard would it be to add topics to the diffrent room names. i have 3 room names in my config but how hard would it be to have diffrent topics showing for each room name??? just a idea and i feel like im nagging now. Typical me though, full of ideas but know idea how to create them. If its hard or would take ages then dont matter, hope ya dont mind me throwing up some thoughts km and ya santa's little unsung helpers.

but then if someone changes the topic in the room with ?topic= do you:
1. change all topics to the same
2. have them have to change the topic several times (/topic /topic2 /topic3)
3. only change the first one and leave the others fixed

(btw it would be rather simple to do - copy/paste in 3 places)

it only lists 2 anyway, because you can't list 3 times, winmx doesn't allow it

(names 2 and 3 get used 50% of the time each) - so it's not quite that bad, and 2 names does have a use... although i agree with some of the rooms where they just add a space to the end of the name or something just to take up room on the channel list

and i thought of another possible idea for the topics, /topic changes all topics (as currently) or /topic1 /topic2 /topic3 to change individual ones (adding extra commands for those who want them without changing current behaviour for those that don't)

i can see me gettin told off.

Ive been experimenting with my router and the diffrent chat servers and ive found that i lose a few peeps on wcs with my router. I tested it on the standard dsl modem with no firewall and they all moved fine on wcs. But i must admit it aint anywhere near as bad as fxserve roflmao.

I was playing and i noticed that fxserve just seems to chuck all the connections as fast as it can at the other chat server but WCS seems to be abit slower. I just wondered if you could make the redirect on wcs abit slower and allow me to test one just to see if its a router thing thinking flooding with a fast transfer of roomies and it dropping the odd 1. (think worst was 3 was about 8 on fxserve lol).

I know that might seem abit trivial but it was just a idea and im liking having some input on making WCS even better lol.

if it is blocking a flood of connections then chances are that it would still do it slowed down a bit, and the only way to stop it would likely be like 1 user/second or perhaps slower, which would really not be practical for a redirect to be that slow

at least you should never lose any winmx 3.53/3.54 users during a redirect with WCS they will just stay in the original room

Right thought of another one to add, is thier any of chance of adding say to the green entry text of what room name the user came into the room from out the list. or maybe although crap way in the motd????

it could be done easily (assuming you have fancy entry messages enabled - the coloured IP Address), however it would look ugly to say the least

How about in opmsg text then so only admin can see. make it a option i duno, just like that idea, re-opening my room and need to keep an eye on what direction some entries are coming from.
