Must be my karma or something like that, but...

First it didn't play some of the first video-clips i tested, second it keeps crashing and crashing and crashing on my system (nothinh else ever does), third it shows strange behavior whenever i change the skin.

Don't get me wrong, i like it, but it seems to be in alpha state and i doubt someone could implement as many codecs as i use to have on my system.

Did you try Media Player Classic? (if you run Windows)

I use MPC to play video files , it doesn't have a fancy GUI but it plays just about any file type including DVD's  if you've the right codecs pack.It comes bundled with Real or Quicktime Alternative , so I don't have install Real & Quicktime crappy players on my system just to play Real or Quicktime files.
I use Winamp for audio files.

Thank you for pointing me to VLC. It is lacking a few features which bugs me a tiny bit, but I gain so much more over Windows Media Player.

I never had a real problem with WMP until recently. I installed codecs that were requested due to videos not playing and still some new videos I downloaded as well as many I had no problems with before were jumping. I had to play those in a separate program to solve that problem which was irritating to do. VLC has no problems playing these files.

Also, because I am on a snail connection, I will watch pieces of a file while it is downloading. This is to be sure it is the one I want before I waste hours. Before with WMP, anything except for *.asf video files would not play normally because the file is in use when downloading. I had to copy the file and play the copied version and then delete it which was another irritation. So far, I have had no problems playing files while they download. This is a blessing!

So thank you again for mentioning the program.
Downloading is an addiction I do not want to give up.

Mabye a few features here and there (Which many freeware applicaitions can do anyways) won't be there.
But it's never bugged me since I've installed it. And it's free :D

Cheers :P
