OMG cant believe its no more winmx

i had it for about 5 yrs now gutted i didnt knw until today didnt have a clue wot been goin on i knw they been crackin dnw on it tho

well i hope that it can get up n runnin again i knw alot off ppl who will surrport it ....

Some People need to understand that to access the rooms you simply

1. Ignore the yellow light
2. Find the name of your room either on here in this post using the search function or look at these links for the name.

3. Enter the full name into your filter bar and click Join

This should get you back to your rooms if they are operational at this time.

Also, let me just say that the OpenNap is working GREAT and many regular rooms of WinMX have gone there. So please keep Joshes instructions handy for that as well.

The main areas I have seen rooms move is to Ares and to Filetopia.

We are very busy here lately as you may imagine and its difficult to keep an eye on this also to make sure we are keeping with our usual standards of information.

The post was not edited to offend you in any way.. and although i may agree with your statements regarding OpennapMan i dont think its useful at this time to keep on him.. lets concentrate on keeping our network as together as we can..

Keep posting rooms and naps we can use and keep letting us know here of any moves or changes in room status..

hi ppl, Ive only had a comp for 7 months, and been on winmx for that time also. So Im very inexperienced, and hope you'll excuse me asking a few 'dumb' questions.

1. I have quite a few incomplete movies. From what I understand from the posts here, I cant complete them in the opennap rooms, right?

2. If that is the case, it would be pointless for me to start a new dl of the same movie, as I wouldnt be able to finish it in 1 hit (have 56K). So then I would have another incomplete that I couldnt get a restart on? Right?

3. I have been in 2 rooms since winmx died, (in 1 i was joined up instantly, without me asking), but cannot browse anyone. Others are browsing and uploading from me, but I cant browse them from the same room. Why is the browse being disabled in rooms? The same room was also allowing 0 files in. Havent had a dl yet - not a start.

Im new to the opennap rooms, and not up with the 'unspoken rules'. Wondering if someone could fill me in please. Im not a leecher, have 118 files with lots of classic movies and happy to share.

Ive also heard that emule is still running, but it maybe a bit complex for a newbie.

You can get WinMX in our archive.

As for downloading the simpsons.. well we may have to wait on that one..lol

Remember your WinMX doesnt have to have a connection to join rooms just cut and paste

I tried doing exactly what you showed about joining the open nap & to chat in the rooms.
First of all I can not get connected for some unknown reason. it doesnt change from yellow to green. It keeps coming up sayin no host found.
what is wsx? & how do you install it if needed?

A wonderful programer has been able to make a program that allows us to get a primary connection. Mr Drac, Nuchi's second hand has developed this and if all goes well should be released to you all later today. I will have more details soon....
