I personally like to say thanks winmxworld.com for using ur site to post information and help, this has been very helpful to me and help me with my questions and problems, i been on winmx for a long time and u guys rock, i got the patch to work its very sucsessful and im on secondary and i connected in under a 1min to all who made this possible thanks very much, and winmworld and others who made this possible keep up the work,.....

Had to wait for a few to connect.
Primary made.
Unshared nearly everything and left the setting for
"Allocated Bandwidth" to the highest setting to add
to the Shared Bandwidth and get ya'all stable.

A quick note to make it stable, just solely for technical interest and discussion

Current hosts patch includes all domain name of the peer cache servers and connect to them all.
Upon connecting WinMX try to connect every B of cAAAB.zCCCC.winmx.com and this makes tremendous unnecessaly load to the server.
Single B on hosts file for each peer cache server is enough to make it working.

Now two distinct hosts file, 205.*.*.* and 82.*.*.* is available. Why not merge them? B==1 for one and B==2 for another will work good.
Also, leaving unmapped other B's than 1 and 2, it will better when official winmx server's back.
It's time for distributed computing.

One more thing, peer cache server algorithm. All info e.g. IP/TCP/UDP can be obtained by UDP packet to the peer cache server.
Caching and distributing algorithm could be improved, for example unique the list, distribute after some time to ensure the node stable connection to WPN, and so on.
Frontcode did good job and may need intensive work though...
