I was helping a user try to get Win Mx and we could not connect to Winmxgroup.com . This occured at 8:45 eastern usa time on 1/19/2007. each try seems like it tries to connect then just says can't connect. I am just wondering if site was down or is being blocked.

Actually the caches were being attacked, so it might be possible that some delays were there
Turn of pg. you don't need that. The main servers are still on. Only the user run caches are currently affected.
Pg blocks the main servers...so that's probably why you won't be able to connect.....

I am able to connect as i dont use PG. i was trying to help another user get onboard with Win Mx. They were not able to get to winmxgroup site to get the winmx program or patch. i am able and i am connected without any problem to win Mx network. i am trying to find out about the site for getting winmx without going to pie.

You are right, winmxgroup seems to have a bit of a problem currently.

the winmxgroup site is back online

btw the downloads were already hosted off-site (as part of the mirroring system, only one of the 3 mirrors was on the server hosting the winmxgroup site), those download locations stayed operational
